Have you been waiting for the right opportunity to host a Saturday event? Here it is, turn-key solution for a GPS Geocache Run.
1) Print the below Sign-up Sheet and drop it off with whoever is taking care of sign-ups at the event -

2) Print at least 5 copies of the below Tickets, cut them up, place them in at least 5 zip-lock bags (add a rock to each bag so they don't blow away), and go place them throughout the desert. Don't forget to mark each location with your GPS. Note: Adding a ribbon to a rock or bush nearby helps those that may not be use to geocaching.

3) Write down the coordinates of your 5 locations (or more), include any special instructions (requiring everyone to have 5 unique tickets [no duplicates] is a good one). Place the coordinates at sign-ups so everyone can program their GPS and go hunt 'em down. If you can make this happen by early Saturday, that gives everyone plenty of time to join in on the fun.
4) Print the Playing Cards below. When it comes time to draw cards, randomly pull numbers for the Rows and Columns (like you would for a football pool). Then use the below sheet to see what everyone drew for a hand.

We used this method at the 2011 HIMED and it seemed to work well.
